Jing Xin Yuan

 

 


 Jing Xin Yuan is a Cultivation School of Chan and Pure Land Buddhism; Chinese Martial Arts; and a Clinic of Chinese Medicine. The name means "Garden of the Pure Mind". "Jing" means clear/clean, unadulterated, unmoved, and pure. "Xin" means heart, mind and "Yuan" means garden, but insinuates a place of gathering. It is pronounced: "Jeeng Sheen Youan".


Foundations of practice, the guiding principles utilized, are based on the Buddha's teachings in the Chan and Pure Land Dharma Doors. These guidelines are utilized in every aspect of the school from Buddhist cultivation to Martial Arts and Cultural studies.


There are many aspects to Jing Xin Yuan. One is of its Buddhist studies and cultivation; another is on Chinese Culture and traditional values through Confucian studies and integration. A big aspect of Jing Xin Yuan is its “High Virtue Martial Arts Training Center”, or “Mingde Wushu Xueyuan”. The Martial Arts practiced here, are of Basic Wushu, Yong (Wing) Chun Quan and Taiji Quan. Within the Taiji Quan and Yong Chun practices, students will learn various methods of Qigong and application internally and martially.  


Those who come for Buddhist studies and Martial Arts practice understand that they have a strict practice ahead of them. The teachings of Patience, Compassion and Wisdom; Virtue, Ethics and Morality as their foundation, ensure that the students will be on the right path to becoming an accomplished person and a true Martial Artist. 


 Buddhist studies and martial arts training of Jing Xin Yuan take place in the "Hall of High Virtue", also known as Ming De Tang. The name can translate as "High Virtue Hall, Hall of Unobstructed Morality and Virtue, Hall of Illustrious Virtue, and or Hall of All-Pervasive Virtue."  "Ming" means clear/bright/to understand. "De" means virtue, morality, ethics, goodness, kindness.  "Tang" means a main place of gathering, hall, or signifying a group/clan. It is pronounced as it is written: Ming De (duh) Tang (taang). 


Our clinic is home to Traditional Chinese Medicine offering Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tuina (Physio-Therapy), Moxa-Bustion (Herbal Heating application), Cupping, Electric stimulation therapy and Qigong Therapy and application. The Qigong application is of energy transference, where the patient will experience hands on healing methods of Chinese Medicine to assist in regulation of energy flow in the body.
